Every saved match has a share icon next to it in the match list. Tapping it opens the share modal, which does three different things depending on who you are sharing with. All of it is free.
The share card: a branded image for anywhere
The Social tab of the share modal generates a square 1080 by 1080 image of your match: a dark card with a Victory or Defeat badge, both player names, the score, the surface and location, and the date. It is sized for Instagram, group chats, or anywhere else you post.
From there you can:
- Download it as a PNG
- Copy it to the clipboard
- Share it through your phone's native share sheet (the image travels with the post)
- Post to X or WhatsApp (these open with pre-written text; attach the downloaded image if you want the visual)
Doubles matches show both you and your partner on the card.
Sharing with another RecAce player: log once, count twice
This is the feature that saves your regular opponents from double data entry. When both players are on RecAce, one person logs the match and shares it; the other accepts it into their own records.
How it works:
- After logging the match, open the share modal and switch to the Users tab.
- Search by username, name, or email and tap Share next to your opponent.
- They see the match under Shared Matches on their Social tab, with Accept and Decline buttons.
- On accept, RecAce writes the match into their records from their point of view: your win becomes their loss, the names swap sides, and the score, date, location, and surface all carry over.
Your private notes never transfer. Each player's notes stay their own.
If your opponent declines, nothing is added to their records and your copy is unaffected. Either way, you each end up owning your own version of the match, editable independently.
Make this a habit with your regular group: whoever wins logs the match and shares it. One entry, two updated records, and both sides of the rivalry stay in sync.
Sharing with someone who is not on RecAce yet
The Email tab sends a match invite to any address. Your opponent gets an email with the match details and an optional personal note from you (up to 200 characters), plus a link to a page showing the match and a signup form.
A few rules: the address cannot already belong to a RecAce account (use the Users tab for that), and invites are capped at 5 per day to keep the feature friendly.
There is also a match-free version, Invite Friend, for bringing someone onto RecAce without a specific match attached.
After a loss: the excuse generator
Losses get their own share path. Shortly after logging one, RecAce offers to generate an excuse: a random line from a pool of about 150 movie and TV quotes, stamped onto an official-looking 1080 by 1080 "Loss Report" card with the match details. Shuffle until you find one that fits, then download or share it. Purely for laughs, and entirely optional.
