RecAce is a progressive web app (PWA). It runs in your browser, installs to your home screen like a native app, and works offline. There is nothing to download from an app store unless you want the Android version.

Android

Two options:

  1. Install from Google Play. This is the same app wrapped for the Play Store.
  2. Install from the browser. Open recace.com in Chrome and RecAce shows an install banner shortly after the page loads. Tap it and confirm. You can also use the "Install app" button in Settings.

Either way you get a full-screen app with its own icon, no browser bars.

iPhone and iPad

Safari does not offer an automatic install prompt, so the steps are manual:

  1. Open recace.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Tap "Add to Home Screen."

RecAce shows these instructions in-app when it detects an iOS device. Once added, the app opens full screen from your home screen like any other app.

Desktop

Chrome and Edge show an install icon in the address bar when you visit recace.com. Click it to install RecAce as a standalone window.

Dismissing the install prompt

If you dismiss the install banner, it stays gone for 30 days. Choosing "Don't ask again" hides it permanently. The "Install app" button in Settings works regardless.

Offline use

RecAce caches the app and your match data on your device. If you lose signal at the courts, the app still opens and your matches, stats, and charts stay visible. Changes sync when you reconnect.

A few things need a connection: logging in, saving new matches to the server, social features, and anything involving another player's data.

Updates install themselves. When a new version of RecAce ships, the app picks it up on your next visit. There is no manual update step.
